hey, i just bought a 16v 4age and when i was putting it in i noticed this green plug, but there was nothing on the loom to plug into it. its located under the inlet mani and i was just wondering if anyone knew how important it is/ or where it plugs into. any help would be much appreciated.

Richie.

Its the TVIS plug, If its not connected the car will be shit at high rpm.

What he said, just so you know the tvis is a extra set of smaller butterflys above that plug. They open around 4500rpm to give the motor a extra kick at the rev range.

well if you've got a 4age loom, there should be another green plug somewhere near the alternator plugs.

If you don't have the 4AGE loom, then simply remove the TVIS system. I have heard on NUMEROUS accounts from people over here that TVIS was merely a personal preference sort of thing. Some people like it and some don't. Either way, it still works. :)

actually it will be shit at LOW RPM as tvis wont be closed
it opens at 4,500rpm, so it like a bigger TB all through the rev range

yeh wat he said, T-VIS was developed so that the intake was higher pressure or sumthign at lower revs to give it jsut that little bit of torque that we all knwo that 4ages have, then when the engien has enough momentum/revs/4500 rpm it opens up the other butterflys, without it yoru car will be chug-a chug-a until u manage to get into the high revs,

i think
