i just picked up a cheap package of parts.. including trd 312 cams with 11mm lift.. and obviously they dont fit in a standard head..
what must i do to make them fit?

i take it theese are for 16v. you will need shim under buckets and very stiff valve springs

you're gonna have to do extensive head/block work... not a simple DIY engine with such large cams. expect to be paying big big dollars. that is all

so it was u that bought the package on ebay aye??

yea well massive work needed to fit them.....if u decide to sell the pistons and bottom end cheap drop me a pm ;)

Yeah 312 is overkill for a street motor, maybe good in an IPRA or Rally motor tho. Akira Iida's Gr.A TRD built 20V with dry sump etc was originally built with 304 degree cams and made 220ps (V-Opt & Option2 Vol.32) but in a later Hot Version or Option he went back to a 276/288 cam still made 190ps and was much more drivable and still revved hard 9500+ :P

bullshit...that price is exagerated rather highly....i know u can get the toda kit straight off the shelf for $700 :2thumbs:

re sell cams and get some more sensible cams those are way to large nothing past a 288 is really needed unless yopu spend dope amounts on your 16v
