if your trying to do this convertion in NSW forget it.

nah was goin 2 do it in sa

why dont bother in NSW

fron cut series 4 rx7 should be $2,500

then that includes a fron break upgrade and usually a series 4 gearbox. tough as nails.

custom tailshaft would be a head fuck but welding up mounts to the original X member isnt that hard

rotors have 2 mounts compaired to the conventional piston engine which usually consist of 4

I cant remember if I read that if you use the rx7 gearbox it would be a bit big for the tunnel so a bit of modding would be in need there. Or you could use the w58 box. I know alot of 13bt's use that box as it is damn strong and there is a custom b/housing for them already made up, the same as the 4a to W series box. I cant remember atm but I have seen a major rotory shop selling them. It was up on the net aswell. Ill see if I can find it again and ill post it up later. I was going to go 13bt aswell but a 4agte package came up that was too good. Which is alot less than the 13bt but then again it wont be anything like a rotor. Ill get one done one day. Goodluck

Here we go Pac Performance Adaptor Plates (http://shop.pacperformance.com.au/pc-61-49-gearbox-adaptor-plates.aspx) I guess the adaptor plates are atleast cheaper than if you were going to use the 4A - W series.
Atleast you know that the W series is strong if they are using them behind the 13bt's in drag cars and such with a lot of power. Confidence for me that it should hold a good 300hp.

Lol didn't even look at the other thread again. I now see someone already stated about the plates and the box.

they make kits/ bell housing for just about every gearbox you can think of for 13b - watever series

i know some of the popular on hand ones are 13b- vg30 box's, commo box's, falcon, w58 etc etc

when i was going to build a 4agze + t i was looking for a w58 and i think 9/10 importers laughed in my face saying "good luck finding one of those in Australia"

so yea :( kinda discouraging

i know this takes 1/2 the fun out of it but while ive lost my licence i'll probably save up for a nice ae86 supporting a 4agze + T, as it would save no so much time but alot of dollars

mite even go the dirty nissan path :(

Actually the guy that built that 13BT car was Derek (my mates brother). I think Medwin had pic of it as his avatar for ages with white 17" Racing Sparcos :P
The guy at Emtech was about second or third owner after Derek. It was later tuned by REVS, so probably be better to get in touch with Jason at Rotary Engine Vehicle Specialists to find out what happened to it.
