So my sprinter never came with aircon i put all the units in and the wiring loom is just a plug in job.
So much as i can see and my aircon knowlege the only switch in the circuit that will break teh circuit from working (bar the on off swithc which lights up and fan works) is the low pressure switch. i have no gas in the system and i know the switch is just a normaly open switch so just shorted it across teh wires and hey presto it still dosent work i have changed 2 thermistors 3 a/c amplifiers pluged and unpluged everything. shorting the low pressure swithc should engage the compressor and operate the vsv it dosent what do i do next??

also to help my situation the wiring colours in the toyota sprinter manual are different to teh car even different between 2 ac wiring circuit pics in the book and the way the wires are set out on the plug going into the a/c amplifier are icorrect.

There should be a switch of some kind to not allow it to run with the fan turned off shouldn't there?
Don't do much work on cars but in buildings we use sail switches or pressure differential switches.
That would be all I can think of, there isn't much more that would stop it running.
If I get a chance il look in my car and see what I can find from what is left of mine.

An aircon unit will not operate with no EVAPORATOR FAN, In your dash uleh!
condenser runs on air being pushed over it more than the crappy fan with no baffle.
Hope this helps diagnose your problem.
The clutch to your compressor cannot engage without the fan switch being turned on aswell as the aircon button.
Turn the fan up high then see if it works.
