i got a garmin c510.
either i got a dud or i dont rate it very highly. it is constently getting lost, you get close to the finish flag and it suddenly says "recalculating" GRRRR.
i also heard the tom toms reception is better.
every time i enter a tunnel with the c510 it drops out. apperntly the tom tom1s dont drop out?

if i was to buy again i would go a tom tom.

ive got the tom tom ,
ive never had a problem ,ive used it to go to wombeyan caves and my mate had the navman it didnt last that long in to the trip. with the tom tom didnt drop out it just didnt have the rest of the road as i think the road that i took was a fire trail it was like a 150 kms of roads.
1,good points i use it like a rally tool it tells me what corner is coming up just not what objects witch sucks
2,and i hate thinking to much.
3, make shore you get the suction bit that sucks to the window ,mine falls of .
4,when you finish useing it take the holder of the window someone try steeling my little brothers one. hope this helps

Why's it costing you anything?! Must be connecting via internet and downloading updates.. just disable these and use to satalite, should be free then :-)

I use my N95, brilliant, easy to use, voice navigation guy is VERY demanding lol

i have a navman s50....awsum as, sometimes its a little sketchy (tells you to do illegal uturns or takes you a longer route then a route you know should be shorter) but usually very good.

I've heard to many problems with the nokia nav's, thats why they're not an option for me.

Got a Garmin Nuvi 310 for my birthday. Works really well. Only bad points on mine is I need the update as it doesn't have some of the newer roads, other than that it's awesome. Vehicle speed is very accurate, distance is accurate.

I work at super cheap, and 20% off sale is on tomorrow (Sat 29th Dec). I think the S50 comes down to about $400, and so does the TOM Tom one XL
