I need an alternator bracket, the top one to suit alternator on the inlet side. I hope they arent worth a mint but I'm willing to pay asking price within reason.
PM me or email tstarrs72@hotmail.com. Can pickup from ACT or pay postage.
cheers

do you want a JDM one or a FWD one? they are different, and one is cheap the other is expensive and hard to get

I dont know... what is the difference?
I have a toyota alternator that was on the exhaust side of my GZE with a custom bracket and a non-Toyota alternator with custom bracket to fit on the inlet side. I need whatever bracket that will allow me to put the toyota alternator on the inlet side...

I assumed I needed something like this:

BUT on looking at my engine, The top bracket bolts to the bottom one, and the Toyota alternator doesnt bolt to the bottom one... So I gess I need both brackets to make a Toyota Alternator work on the Inlet side of a 4ag.

if you are still running the fwd (gze) waterpump setup, then you can get away with using a fwd bracket which should be pretty easy to find, they can come of either an AE82 or an AE92. but if you have changed the waterpump to a RWD style, (the bottom hose outlet/thermostat housing is straight out of the back of the waterpump) then you will need a RWD AE86 bracket.

hope that helps

Thanks that helped a lot. My current setup looks like this:

I assume that is a RWD water pump as it comes out the back.

So I need RWD brackets (top and bottom) for standard alternator... Are 4ac the same?

Its a fwd water pump. Rwd have the thermostat enclosed in the rear pump housing itself. The top water outlet also joins into the rear pump housing for the thermostat to work.

You need fwd alternator brackets (lower mount and top slider which bolts to the top water outlet). You might need to put a ae82 top water outlet on if you use an ae82 top slider or an ae92 top water outlet if using an ae92 top slider (not sure if the sliders are the same, I know outlets are different).
