Im running 2 smallport 4agtes,
one built motor running a t28bb off an s15,
one stock engine with trd metal headgasket running a t28 nonbb.

both running microtech and jdm rwd manis

t28bb 170rwkw @ 15psi
t28 nonbb 129rwkw @ 11.5 psi

both are extreemly responsive making power from 2.5 grand up but both have no top end.

make good torque aswell.

any views on getting top end and running lower boost?

I've got a small port 4agte, I dropped it at the dyno place today.

It's a rebuilt stock motor
custom plenum
Autronic SMC ecu
And a high flowed T3/T4 off a vl turbo :fap:

It will be tuned on about 10-12 psi
Should know what it's making by the end of the week
Lots hopefully, but more then a 4k would be nice :owned:

mine is a smallport 4AGTE (rebuilt 4AGZE), with a t25, 14PSI, Microtech LT10s
making 158rwkw on standard injectors but rev limited to 6200rpm as they lean out above that....
I have just bought a set of 7MGTE (440c) injectors which i need to install and then get it tuned again. It should then make some interesting power figures from 6200 - 8000rpm.......

you want more topend upgrade ur turbo, go to a gt series, like a 28rs, but u will lose bottom end its all a balancing act.

as for more power on lower boost, this comes down to better compressor sizing, compression, cams and most of all the tuner, there are obviously more things to it, but imo there is no need just to screw the boost up, and adding bigger injectors, upgrade parts, such as cams, manifolds etc.

try cams and valve springs, for a start. failing that upgrade ur turbo

It's less about the psi and more about the turbo, and how much power the turbo can flow. Alot of people are getting 170rwkw with a Silvia turbo, but if you want more power, it seams you have to get a bigger turbo. Or a turbo with a higher horsepower rating, physical size is not always what it seams. Do some resurch, but you may end up wanting a Garret GT2860R if you want a bit over 200rwkw. This is a ball bearing unit, but a plain bushed turbo of the same size will be cheaper.

140-150rwkw (unconfirmed) with BB S15 T28 @ 13psi

190rwkw with a t517z @ 17psi

220rwkw with TD06-20G and 20PSI

All stock GZE bottom end, bigport head. Nothing else.

Going for 270rwkw now with new turbo :)
