Yes they will fit nicely. Will sit inwards slightly which is O/K particularly as you say it is lowered. I have 15x7.5 +17 on the rear and 15X6.5 +13 on the fron and it is as perfect as you could get. Yours will be similar.

ok next question, $400 for a clean set of SSR Mesh no rubber in the mentioned dimensions reasonable?

If it is a set of four. Yes I would grab them. I went 15" as I am running big brakes. Sounds like a good deal.

cheers

Hey? Show us the wheels on your AE86 delazy.

14" x 7" +14 is about perfect from memory.

no its not.

14 x 7 -9 sits fairly well up front with 195's
(about to go corona arms so will be verrrrrrrry pushy)

and on the rear they sit well in with 165's
can easily run 25mm spacer

p.s. my arches sit just below the top of the tyre...
but i could go another inch front and rear easy :)

delazy your a fuckwit. 15 x 8.5 -12 does not fit. ever.
he said to fit under STOCK guards.

i fited 14x9-15 unde stock guards just heavily rolled

rim sat bout 2cm out from edge of gaurd

but tyre was well under

you could flip your +14 and make em dope

riojin

if i flipped them...... it would make the offset -14? would that fit still under unrolled stock guards?

EDITED anything up to +21 offset should fit for 14" wheels up to 8" width

i created a post like this a while back but every1 kept referring to this offset topic but it doesn't tell you whats the maximum you can fit.

i got 14x7 +18 =D the new age bro... sexCas....... *flame on*
if you guys really like dish buy those watanabe's in the forsale section thats -30 and -50 offset....

if you fliped em it would be more like

-15 to -20

coz the thickness o the inner lip on rim

then redrill a valve hole and polish the rim would look dope as

bout 4.5 inch dish

holy misinformation batman

a 8" rim with +23 offset will never fit the front of an 86, it will hit the struts.

heaps of ibfo to be had. i'll edit later, one hand typing while on hold eats balls

ooopppps my mistake its meant to be 14" x 7" 23cm ..... or ....14" x 8" 21cm...
the general rule is - 2 for ever inch... from what i read

feel free to criticize but thats what iv read so far took me weeks of searching for that... because nobody wants to help each other out on ae86dc have to go off and google yourself.

gilly if you've tried positive offset before please enlighten us.

I am not sure what your deal is but every one has a opinion. I agree with Jonny R. Show us your wheels. I am not building some piece of shit beaven/boy racer car. I am bulding a mega dollar tarmac/road car and the wheels I have chosen are for this purpose. They fit under the guards without modification and I can fit the size of tyres on them I want. I purchased new old stock SSR Formula Mesh from the states and I stand by my statement that they fit perfectly. As for the coment about wheel fitment I assure you I know a fair bit due to a lot of research, trial and error.

To answer the original question will the wheels 14 x 7 + 14 fit - Yes they will in my opinion and from prior experience.

:o what tyre did u stretch over that bad boy??
EDIT: just looked at your car.
why does it even matter if they fit
your guard sits above the tyre
if it were lower they wouldn't fit

Gilly

up to +10 on an 8" is very close to the strut and that is a 15" rim as you go down to 14" and 13" the offset has to come closer to zero as the strut is angled and as you get closer to the hub you get closer to the strut

e.g a 13x8 superlite with a +3 offset has the same size gap between the strut and rim as a +10 8" rim

i agree +14 in a 14" sits inboard a lot on an 86. in a 7" i would aim for as close to zero as possible, a KE you can normally go roughly 10mm more positive as their guards aren't as generous.

my car was fair low

the tyre sat 1/2 inch in the guard

the car was 120mm off the ground

i used 185 60 r14

then switched to 175 60 r14

and lowered it even more

sat perfect with the 175

Concur with Gilly above. I run 16x8 +10 offset with 205/45s and it's massively close to the front struts. A 215 tyre would probably start rubbing. Fronts needed flaring to fit and the rears just needed the edge rolled.

Crack.

There is no direct correlation with the initial offset and the offset you will achieve when you flip centre. It depends on the geometry of the centre and the back of the wheel.

I flipped a 15x7 +12 offset SSR Reverse Mesh and the offset was rediculous, at least -40mm from centre.

With 30mm wider guards, they still didn't fit!

http://img316.imageshack.us/img316/4306/guardswithskirts0041ml.jpg

This image shows them under my guards, however once I fitted and centred my panhard rod, they sat 5-10mm outside the edge of the guards.

I was spewin!

These are 14x7 +8. Yours will sit 6mm further in. i.e the lip will move 6mm towards the strut.

Cheers

thanks for pointing that out in the photo. i looked at that add but didnt think anything of it. 6mm more in wouldn't bother me at all.
