Hey guys today i went and got my 4agze injectors sonic bathed/cleaned today and the guy at the shop said to me that the injectors are flowing good to 5000rpm but after that they start to go inconsistent with the flow in each injector. What does this mean ? do injectors lose there efficiency over time ? As i am going turbo with these injector and 5000 is where i start making power

if your having problems with your GZE injectors, and your going to go turbo, you may as well get some 7MGE injectors... they're a straight replacement

i'm not sure how much bigger than stock ZE items they are, but they are bigger witch will be useful if your going turbo and more power :2thumbs:

3sgte also a straight swap apparently... and i have a set of 550cc ones sitting at home for sale if anyone's interested.... PM me

if your using 365cc injectors and 5000rpm is were your gonna make power the injectors are way to small.
even 440cc (3sgte) will be too small.

I will be only running 12 psi on standard afm.. The bloke said that there just not performaning properly after he cleaned them ??? i wouldn't think injectors could lose the flow rate when cleaned

sounds suss.

fuel pump? pressure?

triggering problem?

so youll prolly start making power at about 2000 rpm and at 12psi those injectors will be fine.
maybe the injectors wernt performing before the clean as well, you can try cleaning/testing them again.

well when one sez there turbo is gonna come in at about 5000rpm one would think that its going to be a fukin monster ? !
170kw on 365cc injectors dyno must read high :)

i think you'll find your injection guy is a little concerned about the spray pattern/flow after a certain frequency (probably around the 40 hz mark by the sound of it). injectors with worn/damaged pintles or weak springs can give different flow rate when they start to fail a certain frequencies

So benno there pretty much fuxd? When i said 5000 i meant start peaking power and it may lean out by 7000rpm
I am just worried as the guy said that they are perfect to 5000rpm and after that they are all over the shop.

by 5000rpm roughly your flow rates of the indavidual injectors are starting to differ to much from each other. so tuning your engine to a safe overall air:fuel ratio via exhaust gas, may still leave one or two cylinders dangerously lean. for tuning purposes, it'd be better to get another set and get full flow tests out of all and make a set of four out of the closest matched flow-rates.

Mm thanks for the help ive got another set of 4agze injectors in my ae82 i might swap them over and see how they go... Had them cleaned 5 months ago and they seem to fuel my 12psi 4agze ok.
