Anyone got any ideas on fixing droopy doors on a T18? can I shim up the hinges or something?

i just put some washers in the bottom hinge on my old t18.
I tried buying hinges in better condition, but the washers worked better.
Maybe if you try swapping top hinge to the bottom, it might do something..

I am doing a full resto of my ae86. As a couse i replaced the hinges with new ones from toyota. they were about $70 each but will last another 20+years. Try toyota as they might have some to suit.

The normal fix is to get new hinges. Or better ones off a wreck. TE72 door hinges are the same as KE70. The bottom door hinge is the same as a FJ60 cruiser or RN30 HiLux, just in case your at the wreckers. (But those vehicles will be in worse condition of course). Other Toyota hinges will not be the same, but probably close enough to work.
Or take the hinge apart and fit a larger pin, which is alot of work.

Oh, cool, cheers Jonny. Yeah I guess when its on the road I'll have to get out to the wreckers.
Hope I don't find a relatively complete RN30 as it would probably come home with me, I love those things...
