Hey guys,
Well i got defected on Tuesday for my exhaust and the nice cop only gave me 7 days till I can't drive my car unless he defect is cleared.

Anyways with Tomorrow no one being open, and Sunday the same, and monday a public holiday, I am running out of options.

Would anyone have a stock AE86 Exhaust (i assume ADM/JDM is similar/can bolt on) so that I can pass the ADR shit and get rid of this defect?

Pretty Please, I'm going to be running on thin ice here and so far I haven't been able to get one step closer to getting rid of this.

So yeah, would anyone in Sydney be able to lend a hand? Need to get everything done by Tuesday or I can't drive my car :(

Cheers,
Chris.

^word!

Well just had a look at The Enthusiast's, unfortunately would be a pain in the ass for him to get it off as there is no second flange near the diff unlike mine ahha. So don't want to go down that path.

But yeah, if anyone else has one lying around in Syd, let me know via PM or Mobile (PM for number)

Ok well a stock ADM exhaust isnt going to cut it, it runs down the opposite side, shit now i need a spare jdm one, and who the fuck is going to have one of them ... I'm fucked.

well you need to say what was it defected for?

And what engine setup u got? 4AC has exhaust coming off left side of engine and 4AGE has it coming of the right...... SO ADM/JDM ARE NOT SILMULAR!

Exhaust too loud??????????
Or
Exhaust too low?????????????
Or
No CAT?????? (4AGE only)

If it was too loud, just go to a wreckers and get a muffler or 2 of some shitter. That would cost fuck all! and to get an exhaust shop to weld it on, $30max

The size of your pipes are not defectable by themselves, as long as you have a few mufflers so its not loud......

If you have a 4AGE with no CAT, GET ONE from an exhaust shop! (or wreckers from another car)

Most 4AGE's fitted to sprinters have custom exhausts..... ie; not bolt on

Excessive Noise is what it was for.
4AGE.

I have a second flange near the diff, so maybe they could fab up a pipe with two mufflers.

you shouldnt need a stock exhaust.
you remember jamies exhaust on the gze? that was legal(well at least according to the engineers report.)
i forget what your system is all i remember is the rear muffler maybe just replace the system from the cat back without
the cannon and have a better muffler.

what do you need to clear the defect? just a bluelsip inspection? see if steve can give you a bluelsip

need a sound test to comply with ADR 28.

All I'm going to do is get the guy to replace from my diff flange backwards with muffle/etc... to make it legal.

Then he said he could hook me up with a blue slip too so that should be alright.

Made my air box today lol.

sounds like your on the right track taking it to an exhaust shop. Once you have your new quiet section, put it in your shed incase you ever need it again....

Gd luck

where you getting it done at?
if i were you id go from the cat back, is it over or under diff setup at the moment?
go cat back and then sell off what you have now.
have you looked at the ADR and checked what dB limit you have to be under?
