Hey,

Finally back and doing soem wotk on my 20 valve conversion after taking a long time away from it..
just wondering what experiences people have had with running an alternator on the passanger side of a silver top motor.

i've managed to loose all my notes on the conversion into an ae86 (which has been years of collecting :( )

I belive you can run a 4afe bracket on the passanger side of the motor, you just need to make a custom tentioner.
Problem is, as i look at my alternator attached to a 4afe bracket on the passanger side of the motor i've noticed it doesnt line up with all the other pullys.

any reason where i've gone wrong in my calculations?

cheers

The neatest 20v conversions use the standard AE86/4A-GE alternator brackets and waterpump and pulleys.

The 20v alternator fits in the normal AE86/4A-GE position without modification. (Low, on the right side of the car, drivers side).
