Hi tried searching but couldn't find anything, is there a difference between the t50 box used in old celicas and that used in an ae71, as in changing an ae71 from auto to manual.

To the best of my knowlage -
Main diffrence is the bell housing - 2T/3T motor and 4A motor have diffrent bolt spacings and you need the correct bell housing to moutn up.
2T/3T T50 box has a different front input bearing retainer to a genuine 4A box (not exactly sure as I've never tried to mount an 4A bell to a 2T box)
2T/3T box has the shifter in a different position - may be a problem if installing in a later corolla.
Early T50 box has a different rear out put shaft (20 spline I think) - AE71/sprinter T50 has a 22 spline rear out put shaft.
Thats all I can think of for now.
