why?, all you'd be left with is a low compression natrally aspirated motor that chews way too much fuel

Gunner

Most p-plates in NSW that i know buy turbo rx7 s4-5 and take the turbo off them and drive them around. Most N/A s4-5 rx7 in NSW have had this done and get sold for a good price too.

unless you got an awd i dislike turbos. supercharges are ok but still not too crazy.

i do feel power is over-rated. its usually the young that go for all out power making them feel like theyre a better driver. i always say the cars fast but the driver is a different story.

I'm also a cheapskate and feel that once you start upgrading your car for more power it will be a life-long journey. theres always more power you can make somewhere and when are you going to decide to stop? its cheaper, easier and more reliable to go stock NA and go crazy with your driving, than driving average and going crazy with your engine.

the new rules say you can't drive a rotary under 1100cc's i think (could be wrong) so that pretty much says P platers can only drive a 10a wich really sucks!!

^What! really? if true, that's preposterous and they need to go review the banned vehicles list.

Gunner
12th February 2008, 06:54 PM
they need to stop worrying about what cars we can drive, and start worrying about the driving ability of p platers as well as other drivers, but hey a list is a alot cheaper and easier than actually doing something that will change the road toll, did u kno that within the first six months of the p plate laws, the road toll and accidents doubled for new drivers, just proves it doesnt work

As far as i'm aware, the road toll in WA doesn't differ that much from the ones over east anyway.

The nissan varietta is the convertible of the silvia, and comes in s13 and s15. They only come with a NA SR20, and most have an auto gearbox. I'm pretty sure that C-Red in WA have one, i think i saw it in hot4s or HPI like 3 months ago. Supposedly you can pick one up for like $25k. Bit pricey, considering you can get a JDM s15 for the same price, but because of the different ecu and programming, they make like 140kw, which isnt much less than an ADM s15 with a turbo
