tis true the moulds are a bit of a conundrem, the resin is heaps easy though, just a matter of getting the right measure of the catalyst shit. swirling ink/paint through em immediately after stirring in the catalyst/hardener is cool, or you can chuck any small toy, doll, piece of jewelry in there.

after all the effort, and the not insignificant cost, you will wanna make sure the fixing point/thread/bracket/..... is structurally sound.......

go to the nut and bolt shop and by a length of threaded tube and cut it into like 50mm lengths, and set them in at the end. Or when its done drill it out and apoxy it in. I once made a gear knob out of a honda xr100 piston.
