Like an AE95 Tercel? Often confused for an AE92

Slim4AGEs, some people might mistake the boxy AE82 sedans for AE71s or KE70s? And think they are RWD

Gunner

nah there is a hatch ae92 that is a 4wd, the drive line of a tercel, but in a hatch ill find one and show ya

well thats a sedan

Jonny Rochester

The 4WD AE95 is not a Tercel, it is a Corolla. Also called Sprinter Carib in Japan. It comes as either a wagon or a sedan. Australia got the wagon only, and it was called a Corolla (despite it being a Sprinter in Japan). America got the sedan which they called the Corolla Alltrak.

The rare AE8# RWD cars I was refering to was the AE86.

The only AE82 that is RWD is when you drive it in reverse. As we all know...

just trying to clarify the situation is all, like just today the people handling my coilovers said it again. It was a japanese car made in 1986 and RWD???????????

ive heard about people modifying an AE92 Trueno GTZ (an other FWD corollas) by putting the ST165 GT4 4WD system in it. massive body work is required. ive also heard of people using this concept to make RWD corollas by shutting off the drive to the two front wheels.

now making it RWD is a waste of time because you may aswell just buy an ae86 because of the price youre paying to get nothing greater. and 4WD is a waste of time too because an ST165 GT4 4WD system in a car with a smaller motor will not perform as well as an ST165 GT4.

i personally love the idea of an ae101 or ae111 levin with RWD but the weight distribution would be worse than an ae86. with 4WD however, if it were possible to take the running gear out of a ST205 (and drop the 3sgte for a beams 3sg engine), i would contemplate it if i had the money. sure it wouldn't go any better than a ST205 but it would be the hottest car around.

which would mean there would have been around 200 made....50 to rally 150 to public......

same as the te72 that came factory with a 4Tgte..[/b]

Factory with 3TGTE mr seedy-one.

4TGTE = never released to the public. Basis for the race engine which spanned almost a decade of racing, Including group B.

Trust me, i've done my research on this.

Taillights are only different between S1 and S2

I'd hardly call a car with a FACTORY OPTION a new 'series'

OMG, MY SPRINTER HAS CLIMATE CONTROL FACTORY, it must be like an AE86.5
