I'm swapping an sr in my ae and I'm worry about the axles, so i want to do a swap with a biger one,
I'm trying to find a mk1 celica or supra solid axles to fit on my corolla but it seems to be hard to find in my area, so what other diff i can fit ??
i what something where i can find parts everywhere
i found a couple of cressida diff but its all drum brake, is it possible to convert to disc??

hilux
easy to convert to disc if you wish too (big big thread on toymods.net)
easy to change stud pattern from 6/5 stud to sprinter 4-stud
heaps of widths available
and you won't break it in a hurry ;)
it's also cheap as chips
and LSD available at ease
keep in mind none of the 'upgrade' diffs will be a bolt-in affair, you will need to get the sprinter mounts welded on and such. any competent diff shop will do this for $500

hey thanks for the quick reply, you are the first and only one that reply on many other forum cheers my friend!!
but a hilux we don't have this truck in canada, is it the same as a tacoma or a sr5??
wich years is the best do you think and what size are the gear 7 inch or more
is it possible to have more info of those hilux diff??

tacoma and sr5 will be fine, they both run G series rear diffs, pick a year/model that is close to the track of your vehicle

track is the distance between the wheels on a single axle, measure from center of the tyre to the center of the tyre
