Intense

Can't get gIII in 14's anymore i don't think. This is why i went to 15's, much better tyre availability.
I think you can get the best hankook in 185/60/14 though so thats not a bad thing

c drives are good. silica based though, which tim tells me will not stand up to drift to well.

ive heard 2nd hand, though reliable 2nd hand, that 595s are as good/better than bridgestones... just as much grip, but cost less.

related.. there has been a flood of cheap 14s from japan lately... maybe the availability situation is even worse there?

Pirelli Dragon 185 60 R14

Awesome tyre, can't compare to the likes of the GIII, but I've had them on mine for over 6 months now and they just keep on gripping. Initial fears that they would be a soft tyre disappeared quickly, they haven't worn as fast as I thought, and the amount of grip they have is really high. I would highly recommended, as far as I know supply is OK, I got them for about $119 a tyre at Bob Janes.

i run dragons, have gone through 2 sets, and my next set will be dragons :)

p.s i work at a tyre store, try lots of shite, know what stuff is actually worth, know where stuff comes from, know what they are made of. Hear the stories good and bad from people who actually drive their cars.

dragons will grip their whole life, even with 2-3mm left they still have great wet grip.

^^Awesome, I knew they were good but I'm looking forward to a good life from them yet :)

And as always, don't always listen to the hype, listen to the 'real world' stories about whats good and what isn't before making a choice.

I've had 185/60/13 Hankooks once (on my Escort), they were actually bloody awesome tyres, considering they were $320 supplied and fitted for four. Going back a couple of years but yeah, they do some good value rubber.

They do the Optimo H422 in 195/60R14, Ventus HR II in 185/60R14, Ventus K102 in 185/55R14 (Also 155/55R14 and 165/55R14..good for MA61s I reckon), and Z212 in 195/60R14

http://www.hankooktyre.com.au/v2/products/...asp?search=UHPT (http://www.hankooktyre.com.au/v2/products/product_list.asp?search=UHPT)

They also do Optimo H418 in 185/60R14, Optimo K406 in 185/60R14, Radial K701 in 185/60/R14

http://www.hankooktyre.com.au/v2/products/....asp?search=PCR (http://www.hankooktyre.com.au/v2/products/product_list.asp?search=PCR)

I've got the H422 on my skyline right now, they were just on $200 in 215/40R17, and have actually proved to be a very good steer tyre, especially for something so cheap. Good in the wet and good feedback. I've had nothing but good experiences with Hankooks.
I'd say the midrange Optimos close to or on a par with GIIIs.
They also pull nice and tight, like a Bridgestone or Advan, not all bulgy like Toyos.
