i was jus wondering if there was any difference between the two except for the calper/disc size..
so does anyone definately know if the steering link, lca, tie rod ends etc are the same/different?
searches seemed to suggest that the struts are the same.. can anyone help out (first handinfo maybe)?
cheers

basically my 86s front RHS LCA is bent & maybe all the other bits too..

ok u can use the 70 lca, and i think the tie rod ends, the steering arm is different, and the strut tube is different diameter

so to clarify for us uneducated in toyotaism....

slightly larger struts? slightly quickers steering and slightly better brakes? or am I wayyy off? and is this a slight upgrade or a major upgrade from ae71/ke70?

Larger diameter strut (2 inch) gives many performance shock options that ke70 doesn't. Many more spring options.

Bigger brakes, 234mm up from 218mm, with many more performance pads available in this brake size

Steering stays the same I'm almost certain.

Major upgrade! Well worth it with the ability to go JDM vented or FC Rx-7 brakes in the future and go coilover.

As you say the pads are different are the calipers themselves different?

Annnnnd, can you use KE70 springs on ae86 struts?

Thanks

Yes, bigger calipers to suit the bigger rotors and the bigger pads.

no you can't, ke70 front springs are different to t-18 and ae86 which are the same.

Cheers for that, not what I was hoping to hear. But thanks for the concise answer!

Am I able to use my KE70 calipers with some ADM 86 struts/rotors?
