Hydraulic handbrake???

hey guys,
Looking at making my own Hydro handbrake. What master cylinder is the best to use? I know someone using a series 3-4 Landrover Discovery clutch master, but they seem to be a bit pricey and harder to get a hold of. Can anyone help me out?

ill be adapting it to the back of my stock handbrake and doubling it as a park brake and a lock the shit out of the rear wheels brake

when i want it to be a park brake ill just pull a pin out

what calipers are u using for this setup???

im using 2 pairs of s13 rear calipers and i was just goin to use an ae86 clutch mc unless anyone has a better idea???

i heard its not the best idea to use a hydro handbrake as a park brake? cant remeber why but it was something to do with it holding pressure for long periods of time.....

im sure there will be someone on there that wil know more bout it than me but..

park brake will be the cable, the mc will run off the cable lever but i shall pull the pin out when i want to park it or street drive it so the mc doesnt operate and then only the cable will be functional

Its a Road worthy requirement that the car must have a mechanical handbrake. It has been explained before, im sure someone will chime in.

yea, it must have a mechanical handbrake as hydraulic systems can leak,fal etc

this is why im retaining my standard setup with the add on master cylinder which ill be able to simply unhook so when handbrake is pulled it can just be cable and when hooked up it will use both

anyone got any ideas for what mc to use??
