Hey guys,

Will the Dizzy clear the firewall in my 86 if I don't run heater lines?

I really want to run stock ecu

Cheers

If you do a little research u can actually get a kit that allows u to bolt the dizzy on the front of the camshaft wich eliminates cutting the firewall wich is just messy. I know a guy who actauly uses this setup on his race car and has been 4 seven years so it works well enough.

Because they work, with a balance of good fuel economy, power and torque... and it's cheap! lol.

Unless you're going for a decent engine build I wouldn't really bother with an aftermarket ecu. You can either "massage" your firewall back, and move the engine forward (will slightly effect handling) with custom mounts. Or for a cleaner way, use a kit to mount the dizzy onto your cam wheel. The kit is stupidly expensive, but can be made yourself if your averagely handy.

please don't chop the firewall, go for an aftermarket igniton only ecu if you have to
