What to replace with.

Hey Guys,
bit of an odd question. I am taking the rear shocks and springs out of my mates ae86, and I'm wondering what i should put in to replace them with. don't have any spare shocks or springs to replace them with. any help would be great

a big billet of titanium

leave it on jack stands. (stands on the rails not diff obviously)
