had a quick search but couldn't find what i'm after.

i need new drums for my t18 and repco only had a listing for ra40 celica. just wondering if they'd be the same size etc?

cheers

RA60 have the same ones, EPC doesn't seem to think that RA40's do though.

Same as XT130 and RT132 Corona as well.

Checked part numbers in RDA catalogue.

if ur gonna buy new drums why not just convert to disc?
rt142 corona rear discs are almost a bolt on affair.

well its only a daily drifter so don't need any huge stopping power. drums are cheap and lock the handbrake up well and the brake conversion might need engineering. thanks for the advice guys. will order them next week :)

rt142 have an internal drum inside the rotor, so you have a drum handbrake and caliper footbrake. best of both words.

since the rt142 is a t-series rear end and its pretty much bolt on its dead easy to get a mod plate for.

Problem is, he would then have to get everything else engineered, and thats probably not going to happen.

I originally thought that RT142 were T series, but actually they are borgwarner.

this is why the disks are used to CONVERT other diffs to disk, instead of using the whole RT142 diff.

if every rt142 diff was a t series disk brake rear end, there wouldnt be any at pick a part kilsyth. because i would be selling them of on here for a hideous profit! :P

I'm sure they are t-series... just the trailing arm mounts are in a different position.

And why wouldn't you wanna get everything engineered? I've got my car done because I dont wanna lose it if I'm pulled up for a RBT or something equally as stupid.

i'm not getting it engineered cause the cost isn't worth it. esp for a mod i don't need.

also i'm positive that rt142 coronas have borgwarners. rt132 may be t series but i wouldn't think they'd be discs.
