Price: $135 including shipping within Australia, or $130 without shipping if you can pick up from Brisbane.
All orders by: 22nd May 2009, that's 3 weeks!
Payment terms: Full payment up front is required. If this doesn't suit you, then this group buy is not for you. I intend to do it this way to make reconciling the transactions easier and to speed up the whole process. I cannot do anything with this quick a turnaround without up front payment.

Extra info: The manufacturer says they will not discolor unless subjected to long bouts of UV light. They are already in production and have been for some time. So its not a new product. There are inserts where the bolts hold them so they cannot crack or split from over tightening. The manufacturer claims they clear all aftermarket cam gears.

There are none in production for 20 valve engines at this time, if there was, they'd be part of this group buy too.

If you have a fwd 16v 4age in rwd config, this is what you need, as your timing cover will have a bit missing. These do not, not unlike rwd 4age timing covers.

Just curious how long after the 22nd will these take to arrive.

In an effort to reduce turnaround time for the keenest people, Ive already placed the order for the first ten. Payment has gone through today, so the first ten people to pay will get theirs a couple of weeks sooner. Possibly by the 22nd, maybe shortly after.

All the rest will come in a bulk lot after the closing date.

I'm paying the seller via paypal, so there's about 3 or 4 days delay with that method, then 7-9 days to ship to me, then a further 2 or three days for them to be posted domestically, depending on how far from Brisbane you are.

Id say people in the second round will get theirs around the 8th of June, but basically as soon as possible.

looks like they fit pretty well in the 1st photo on the 1st page. you can even see the same web adress on the bottom of the cover.

Some quick pics of the cover fitted. Please note I didn't put the rubber seal on so there is a gap in between the backing plate the the cover.

It fits perfectly fine, no problems whatsoever. :D

Thats good buying, I did my sums when I started planning this and the price I arranged was about $10 AU cheaper than the single order price. Looks like the Aussie dollar buys more US cents now than 1 month ago. Does that price include the fee to exchange currency? Have you worked out that figure from the current exchange rate yourself or is that what you were invoiced, because they will rip you off a few dollars in the transaction, wheteher it be paypal or a bank.

You could always source the sticker off of the cover that says 4age and put that over it.

I noticed it in the first picture as well and wasn't fussed. Just try using a bit of metho and a very sharp scraping blade and should come off easy. That's if its on the outside of the plastic.
Just be careful not to scratch the cover and don't use any harsher chemicals otherwise you might damage the plastic.

But really who cares is someone gonna look in your engine bay and go "Oh my god I can't believe there's a web address on your cover!"

If there is enough interest, I may be able to get them to make them for 20v 4ages in rwd. There would need to be at least 50-60 orders I think to make it viable to make the mould for the process.

I'm starting a poll elsewhere on this site to gauge interest.
