im thinking of buying this ae86 but the heater is not working and doesnt come with aircon...wanting it to be my daily. so that means a comfortable ride..

dont know exactly whats wrong with the heating but is it costly to fix?? average price / worst case price?

and how much would it cost for an aircon unit? and to install?

Since you have to ask the question, it would be far better to just buy a car with heater and A/C. Even if the car has A/C, you may end up spending $300 on it just getting new gas and everything running right.

I agree with this statement. You'd probably be better off buying one with a working heater and A/C.

With a broken heater, there are a few things that could be wrong -
-Broken / corroded / leaking heater core
-Heater hoses disconnected or leaking
-Blower fan inoperative
-Heater tap cracked / stuck.

However it is most likely one of the first two. Fitting a heater core is a bit of a bastard job.

It gets worse from there, as the A/C system is much more complex and needs to be worked on by a professional. If you compressor or condenser are buggered, you'll be up for a decent bill to get them replaced. That's IF the system is set up for R134a gas, not the old R12 style. If it is set up for R12, you'll need to get it converted by an A/C specialist.

Like Johnny said, probably best that you get an AE86 where these are in working order.
