ive been through a couple of memeber rides who have done the underbody seam welding...

my question is .. when i flip the car on its side ... what caution should i take? will it damage the rear gaurds ? how should i flip it ..

if you guys have done it, can you let me know what you did that worked and what i shouldnt do.

You either do it on a hoist and get burnt, or put it on a car rotisserie

ask jonny rochester on here

his shell is completely stripped and he just rolled the car onto its side with old car tyres underneith it to prevent panel damage...

or 2 modified engine stands and u should be able to make them into a rotissary... maybe

Yes I did.

First I started with a completely stipped shell with no front fenders, no glass, sitting on 4 jack stands.

I put tyres down, lowered one side off the jack stands, down onto tyres with a jack.

Then it takes the effort of only 1 person to roll it onto its side, but use alot of people just in case. It sits fairly balanced on its side. But I did it close to a wall so I could tie it off with rope just in case.

did you put a tyre under the rear guard?

I pretty much did the same thing. Except I put some chunks of foam ,nice firm stuff, on the tires for some extra insurance . I used four ropes as well not just one to hold it up.
