the way i see it is if the light surrounds and grill are bigger than stock ke70 it will fit cuz u can just chop it down to size and then zip tie it in and make brackets for the lights. or go to a plastic welder and get the grill bent to fit. alot is possible but most arnt easy

if you want to do it properly you will need a jdm beaver panel also, the one with recesses for the headlights to sit in.

otherwise its not flush.

either that or you can do it dodgy and get some ta22 quad lights which is what i started to do, and make brackets for them to sit in the correct place on your 70. thats what i had tried to do but gave up when i realised i had no time to do so.
it turns out alot cheaper although it does not look nearly as nice.(i have a set of ta22 lights if ur interested)

and btw you would be looking at anywhere around 300 - 450 for a set of lights and grill depending on condition, as well as around 200 for a nice beaver panel.

that should be the lot i think.

I think that looks awesome and I don't think a normal person would spot it being non factory

that was the idea!

i think it came up ok, ive had it on there about a year like it is, and havent been challenged by po-po for it or anything

most people don't notice, its not as good in real life, but its good enough for me, and i still have my 400$:P (jap stuff price)

as for how i did it, have a look in my thread in the ke70 section, prolly back a few pages now....but there is a few more pics in there.

its all custom stuff, kinda made brackets out of strips of aluminium, bolted it all in with some screws i had.

heres a picture of how it sits without anything on it

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/2/0/2/26845.jpg

its pretty hard to explain how i did it since it was all custom stuff, just kinda stuck it where i wanted it, then figured out how to make it stay there:P

although if you got any specific questions shoot!

just whatever you do, don't wire tie anything in to do with headlights, most things it doesnt matter, but if your lights move even the smallest ammount, they will bounce around, and A )you wont be able to see anything at night B ) you will piss off other drivers cause you will be flashing your lights in their eyes all the time!!

ke70dave do all 4 lights work on ur conversion? like outer 2 for normal beam and then all 4 for high beam?

you can use the stock early front beaver panel with quads, its not as good looking as factory but its far easier than sourcing a JDM item. for pics check "Tetsujin's" members thread.

agreed quads are expensive but llok at a light upgrade for AE86's they pay $450-500 for kouki lights and parkers while KE guys pay that for headlights and grill and it completely changes the front of the car :)

yeah they do

the outside ones are H4 bulbs with both high and low beam, and the inside ones are just sealed beams that come on with high beam.

i want to somehow make the insides ones parkers, thinking of drilling a hole in the lense and putting a little bulb, so when low beam is on the outside bulbs are on and the inside ones have a slight glow to them, i reckon that'd look cool! but thats another project...

What kind of mod/s are required to put quads on a s2/AE71 front?

Konakid

- Sill Panel
- Bonnet
- Guards
- Beaver

From a flat front.

And drill new holes.

any posible way or cutting down the front panel so it sits further in after gaurds have been bent in a tad so no gaurd or bonnet change is needed? just curious ay don't feel like changin gaurds gettin them repainted and all its just more money for a flat front altho the more i think about it its pretty dodgy
