OK, help needed.

recently converted F series drums to r31 skyline discs.
new parts include:
new pads
new rotors
all braided lines
new recoed calipers.

problem being, as soon as i bleed the system thge rear brakes still have pressure in the lines. so the rear calipers are sort of locked on. the car is still drivable but cannot push it.

originally i thaught it was the brake proportionaling (spelling???) valve attached the the right hand strut tower so have biapassed that with a joiner. and same problem.

car is running hydrolic handbrake only (no cables connected)

and RB20 master.

when i had the drums it was fine. all i have changed since is the discs and braided lines.

need help urgent got to leave for QLD thursday!!

yes and it does not go back to the master.

turns out to be the calipers.

R31 calipers do not like hydrolic handbrakes. because of the manual handbrake mechanism
built in to the piston.

purchised some VS commodore calipers today. same bolt pattern and no handbrake as the
handbrake is like a drum style on on these cars. just about to install them.

haha this is funy i had the exact same problem when i did my f series disc conversion, i used ae86 jdm calipers on the pedal brake and r31 calipers on the hydraulic handbrake and 31 rotors worked fine till i hit the track, had to dissasemble the calipers at the track, removed one of the pieces that operates the manual handbrake mechanism and problem solvered.

then as i fix the problem about 20 people say why didnt you just use vs rear calipers aaaah why didnt some one tell me that before haha!!

haha, funny that. i purchised some recoed calipers and everything. ended up getting some second hand commodore calipers from the wreckers second time round

so you are running 2 calipers? one for handbrake and one for footbrake. was going to do this mod in the near future.
