i shall pm the people interested

Hey Guys thought I would introduce what Jamie from Import Auto Parts has to offer for ae86 drivers here as at the moment I am having trouble finding bride rails etc and general bolt in seat packages for ae86, Jamie from import auto parts is a sponsor on secretdrift and I happened to come across his thread about the seats so I hope it helps you guys out as it has helped me out with my seating.

So Jamie has designed a bolt in seat package for most imports including ae86

What's on offer is Driver and Passenger rails with recliner and fixed back seats at a great price considering its all new parts etc and more importantly straight bolt in

Prices for rails

NORMALLY 1x rail $189 delivered

10x rails = $175 delivered each

20x rails = $159 delivered each

Seat and Rail Packages – Prices are same for both Fixed Back and Reclining Seats

These are the prices at the moment from Jamie, not 100% confirmed just yet, but they give you an idea at this stage etc

NORMALLY 1 x seat and rail = $429 plus delivery

10x seat and rail = $400 plus delivery

20x seat and rail = $380 plus delivery

Delivery is extra cost depending on your location
Delivery for East Coast $80 approx for 1 seat and rail, pm postcode for definite price if interested

The rails are available separately and do fit most aftermarket side and bottom mount seats

TO CLEAR THINGS UP as there has been a bit of confusion regarding the seats with legal reasons etc, there is a fixed back and reclinable adr approved seat and a non approved cheaper seat

Prices will be up in the coming days

Colours

The available colours are red and black

Legalities of Seats

The Seats are intended for race use only. What you do with the seats is at your own risk and for any state you should check with your local engineer for full information regarding legalities etc. For the seats to be legal in a street car, they need to be the ADR approved flavour and have been approved by an engineer - the exact process varies from state to state, please consult with your roads authority or local car engineer to find out exactly what needs to be done.

I'm not interested myself, but thought I should ask for other that may be.

What are the seats frames made of? And do you have the dimensions?

All of the seats sold are high quality and have been used in a wide range of drift cars for years now
Yes the frame is made form steal

We will have a full dimensions guide shortly

do the rails come in seperate reclinable/fixed design or is it one rail suits both kind of thing??

highly likely ill be down for driver and passenger rail...will see how interest goes and more info[/b]

It depends what seat you have he can organise an 86 rail to suit you…or if you would like a package you will get as a direct bolt in

the rails in the group buy fit the recliner and fixed seats pictured

no worries man

Are they just cheap ebay seats?

FIA?

ADR?[/b]

they are “IAP" brand seat…not bride not anything else…they are a package put together as so that anyone wishing to have a cheap bolt in package can take advantage

FIA approved can be arranged at a higher cost….and those chasing ADR approved yes this can be sorted out…we are working out a cost for these right now

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (delazy @ Apr 16 2008, 03:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (index.php?act=findpost&pid=518839)</div>
the seats look to be the justjap bride copies and the fixed back ones they sell rather cheapily....[/b]

as do 100 other seats on the market…yes they are a similar concept

we both thought we would help the 86 guys out by offering the forum a cheap new bolt in package, what do ya want buddy lol, made of gold?
there new, there cheap, they bolt straight in, great product if you ask me

jamie came round today and test fitted one of theese in my ae86

fitted well and was good to drive with

i recommend, also to people talking about ADRs etc, i don't see why thats a problem. most ae86s have illegal mods anyway

i will be buying one of theese seats from jamie as hes local to my area and always keen to come and test fit etc

p.s. the one we fitted was fixed back

As long as people are aware that the non-ADR approved seats cannot be engineered/approved for use in a street car, all will be good. I know that people might (and probably will) not care about ADR approval, but its pretty important to know for those that want to keep it legal.

This a PSA both for our members, and for the guys putting this together - last thing we want is legal action taken because something like this wasn't stated.

Cheers :2thumbs:

Are the rails bottom mount? I have a set of OBX recliners with no rails, if I measure up the bolt spacing on the bottom of them would someone be able to check if they will match up? How low do the seats sit once in the car?
Thanks!

I'm interested in 2x seat+rail package, only if the seat is ADR approved though. Rails I'll get engineered, just need the seat to be ADR approved.

Hi whitchy yes this is absolutely not a problem at all….jamie said it's a 99% chance they will fit without a problem
But yes measuring is not a problem

Hi samuek
They sit as low as possible….exactly the same as a bride rail to give you some idea
