Hi everyone

A beginner question, but I was putting my front strut brace back on and overtightened and broke one of the strut bolts.

Bolt sticks out a little but sits flush with the strut brace so I can't tighten it up with the brace on.

Can I still drive with it like this? ie only two bolts threaded up. I have an understanding I shouldn't.
We have a cruise here in Qld tomorrow morning and there will be "spirited driving" so I imagine there will be high stress in that area.

Any help asap would be appreciated thanks

Thanks mate.
I was just thinking about pming you haha.

I was planning on getting the Greddy type S kit, so I will just fast track that now and drive a little more sedately with less hills work.

Cheers.
Mine are tack welded on the bottom however, I will go and take a photo

note : these are aftermarket coilovers.

thats a factory strut top so it has zero to do with a/market coilovers.

if not for the welding, you could just tap the bolt out and tap another one in

whats a greddy type S kit?

I don't think you will need to slow down at all, you see almost all the force on that strut tower set of studs is compression and sheer, and beleive it or not that broken stut would still be doing its job as it right now in holding its own on sheer force.

Thanks Sam.
Greddy Type S suspenion (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/board/index.php?showtopic=23200) That is what I will be getting in the near future.
I just need to know if it will be safely drivable in the next month or two.

And

bolts have two welds on them.
