Ive just installed a t series disc brake rear end into my AE71......the brakes are $&*t!!!!!!
what work is involved in getting r31 calipers and rotors onto the diff,
or is there another alternative keeping in mind i want the handbrake to be as tight as possible, and no tiny drums because im sick of them popping....

from what ive read you can use corona RT142 rear disks on the t series with little modification, search 'corona disks on t series' in google, you might might find some good info for it.
hope this helps,

So are you saying the brakes are worse now than what they were?
Did you do anything about brake bias?

r31 rear calipers are notorious for being utterly junk, wouldnt be worth the effort

sounds like aussierider is on the ball in the fact that you just need to do overhaul your disc rear end?
are you talking about the handbrake sucking or the brakes (pedal/hyraulic system) being no good?

Gotta agree with Simon and floody on this one, R31 calipers are junk.
As Sprinter86 suggested the corona option is good, I have this setup, disc brakes are good and drum style handbrake works very nicely

shock mounts will need re welding to clear the calipres!
i dont know if this will work but if the r31 calipre brackets bolt on to a t series, do your self a favour and not waste time looking for corona calipres just go and get some vr commonwhore rear calipres as they are exactly the same

The cylinders & shoes keep wearing out on me.....they stopped locking up and i couldn't even park on a hills when this happened......replaced a few times.....(this was on old diff)
The JDM rear disc's and calipers arn't exactly locking up....Have considered rebuild with good sticky pads....
Interesting about the corona setup (also looking into this commadore shit)....will look into tomorrow at a wreakers....
THX guys

Note you CAN'T do the Corona disc conversion onto a T series which came with discs from the factory. The brake mount holes on the ends of the diff are in a different pattern (not the nice rectangular pattern the drum equipped T series diffs got).

Was told s13 rotors and hubs will fit, only need to fab the caliper mount out for the caslipers to clear, "any info" as i have the disc and calipers already in my garage, wasn't sure if it would work however,
