JDM loom and ECU - Plugs don't fit????

Hey guys,

Last week I bought a "JDM RWD Loom and ECU" from a user from the ad http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/board/in...showtopic=31519 (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/board/index.php?showtopic=31519)

Now, looking at the loom and ECU, arn't the 3 big plugs at the end of the loom supposed to fit into the ECU? Only 2 of the 3 plugs actually plug in and the 3rd isn't even close.....

I msg'd him back and he gave me some crap that he didn't know anything about it and to ask the guy he got it off. How am i supposed to know where he got it? He didn't even tell me......

So, is there something i don't know about how it all plugs up, or have i been ripped?????

Hard to tell without looking but good chance the 3rd plug is off a different engine - most often the one that supplies power to the ecu as this one is relatively separate loom wise - has circut open relay etc. Looks like a trip to the wreckers...

If you look closely, the 3rd plug is not even related to the engine, its just for the jdm washer/wiper stuff.

You are missing the body harness plug which is never part of the engine loom (and hence you never got it). This gives power to ecu and also gets your fuel pump related stuff working with the fuel circuit opening relay.

So what you need is to find a bigport 4age body harness plug (chopped) either off a an ae86 4age, adm/jdm ae82 4age etc OR some other toyotas might have the same plug.....

i had the same problem on my conversion.

put a wanted to buy ad up on www.twincam.info
and i couldnt find any other plugs to fit it off other toyotas
