Most of the way through the conversion just stuck on a few things
I'm wondering if any one has done the conversion ... knows what I'm talking about...and can help...

so I have the 3 wires from the old alternator to the external regulator and 3 more back out again
I'm wondering what I need to do here
can I just solder the lines from the 4age alt into the three lines coming out of the ext regulator and if I can which is which?
I'll post up pics to make this clearer

but yeah any help would be appreciated as all wiring is different in colour from the wiring diagram

unbolt the external reg and get rid of it, you don't need it.

what you need to do is get the SENSE wire and put a ring terminal on it, then simply put it on the B+ terminal of the alternator.

then the IGN wire needs to be connected to a wire that has an ignition on feed.

last you need to get the LAMP wire and connect it to the lamp wire on the 4ac loom. i can't remember which one it is, someone else will be able to tell you the colour and location of said wire
