Hey guys
Did a pic-a-part run today. Got some suspension goodies. Got some nube questions so please don't flame me.
1. Hoping i got the right springs; i got ford AU springs out of the rear end of a falcon (x-taxi) to put in the front and rear of my Ke. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
2. When cutting falcon springs do you start from the flattened side of the spring?
3. Roughly how many coils do you need to chop off (rear and front) for a realy low legal ride height?
4. Figured out when i got home that i had bought the wrong suzuki sierra shocks. Can you use Suzuki Vitara shocks in there place as a short stroke shock or are they differernt?
Will probebly have a lot more questions as i rebuld my corona struts.
Plenty Thanks,
Alex

they should be fine, generally falcon springs are 440mm in free height.

depends really. but you generally have the flat side of the spring, sitting in the struts / diff seats... and the chopped end on the top.

up to you again. most people just cut them literally in half.
cheers

you use falcon REAR springs for the rear of your KE (fo sho)
and falcon Front springs, for the front of your ke (not so fo sho, but been told)
for the rear i cut mine to aout 245 free height, see the later pics in my ke thread to see the height,
and the flat side down, i had the flat side up before but the bottom coil slipped below the spring seat and made myc ar alot lower and i had to keep jacking up the car and putting them back in properly.
when someone advised me to put the flat side at the bottom, so i did and havnt had the problem since n that was a few weeks back
i have front facon springs i stil need to put in my ke struts so ill tell u how that goes when i do it, tho the way I'm going u will probs try before me
not sure about the shocks

Thanks for that info grape_moosha.
Today started pulling apart the Corona struts for a clean and rebuild. How do you know when the bearings have had it in the LCA's? Mine are a little bit stiff, but no crunching or rough spots. Are they replaceable at Bursons?
Couldn't find any mx62 calipers for the conversion, is there any other calipers that are as just as efficient that will work with an ra60 disk or corona disk?
Is it recommended that you buy new disks or just get the existing ones machined?
HELP, PLEASE!!!
Thanks,
Alex

they have to have some movement in them, you should be able to move them up down, side to side, but should feel firm. If they feel sloppy there buggered
