4K-c HELP!!!

had been driving my car all day today without any problems. Then parked it for a while and had to push it to start it as it would not start normally. Took it for a cruize down the highway and as i approached each set of lights it would die on me, but would idle wen the choke was out. Could i have a F***D alternator? What would the other possible problems be?

headlight seem dull?

i think headlights seem to be as normal, can't really tell since its quite foggy here. Charge light doesnt come on whilst driving. Just the usual oil and charge come on when you turn the key to accesories on.

how low does it idle? like before you go for a good open throttle?

no idea on the rpm because theres no tacho but it idles pretty low. I had carbi probs over the last few days but theyve now been sorted so it shouldnt have anything to do with that.

If your float level is too low

Or your needle and seat is sticking, choke will bypass it but when you stick the choke in, it will stall and die

Thats exactly what happens. Looks like i got strip the carbi to bit. Thanks Nick
