For sale: 1989 TOYOTA COROLLA SX TWINCAM
Location: Brompton SA (will sell interstate)
Asking Price: $4200 NEG
Killometer's: Has 300,XXXk's on the car but less than 10,XXXk's on the rebuilt engine
Manual or Automatic transmission: Manual
Engine Type: 4AGE 100KW small port
Colour: Factory twin cam red
Interior: in good shape and condition for age, the only thing is the driver's seat has a fair bit of wear but that's it really, has a new Kenwood CD player, Pioneer 6X9's, pioneer 4" front, 12" sub ALPINE and 250W Kenwood amp, A/C works but needs re gassing, GREDDY shift knob, everything else works.
Condition: No rust at all, is faded on the bonnet, roof and top of the left front guard but comes up a treat after a polish. Small scuff damage on the front left hand lower bumper but easy to fix and doesn't get noticed.
Modifications:
ENGINE: fully rebuilt engine, runs a 4AGE 20V gearbox with slight shorter ratio diff, new front drive shafts (haven't had the time to fit these yet), new Japanese valves and springs, ported and polished, decked head, running Std cams, Gates racing timing belt, complete crack tested and decked block with 020 bore and hone, new 020 HYPERTEC high comp pistons with chrome molly rings, new NDC Japanese bearings, ARP Conrod and main, flywheel nut and stud kit, new GENUINE TOYOTA oil pump, new all GENUINE TOYOTA hoses, has JDM style twin oil cap rocker covers and breathers, whole engine and clutch assy has been lightened and fully balanced, runs a new EXTREME clutch kit and ultra light flywheel, inlet manifold has been matched ported and polished for flow, new std leads, 2" cat back exhaust as the cat forwards flows really well Std... This engine has been built for strength and balance not outright power.
SUSPENSION: New KYB front and rear shockers, new king springs with first lowering to be legal, new WHITELINE front and rear sway bars, new NOLTEC front and rear bushes all round, new front ball joint, new front wheel bearings
BRAKES: RDA front and rear slotted rotors, New front EBD RED STUFF pads and EBC GREEN STUFF rear pads, rebuilt front callipers
GENRAL INFO: Runs excellent and no money has been spared on anything really and shouldn't need any more spent, the body is a little normal for its age and is straight, looks completely standard and is a real sleeper, still runs the factory 14" factory alloys with good 65-75% tyres all round, I have this car serviced every 3-4,000k's with genuine Toyota oil filters and I only run it on 98 premium. Its well looked after and just needs small things to make it everything a twin cam should be, the only other thing to be picky is it occasionally crunches 3rd gear but I have been told it is the gear linkage from the 20V gearbox and not syncro's as it only happens occasionally... The new engine was run in correctly for 3,000k's and never thrashed.
Registration: 12/6/08 but may have another 3 months added
Crash History: never been in a crash as far as I know, just the slight scuff and small damage on the lower front bumper
