Before you say SEARCH I have searched and can't find the thread where I have read about them.

One of the sponsors on here makes custom mounts to put CA18 into AE71/86.

Also does someone make custom gearbox mounts or do you modify the existing ones?

Can someone point me in the right direction??

Thanks

kaizen garage i heard, i have a mate in queensland with a ca18det in his 86, he bought the engine mounts and gearbox mounts from kaizen garage and it allows the engine and box to be dropped in but you have to bash up the tunnel were the bellhousing sits

kaizen makes CA18DET mounting kits for AE86, the engine brackets will work on the AE71, but the gearbox X-member won't(unless Ant has made a AE71 one now).
no need to bash the tunnel, but you'll have to cut a bit out of the shifter hole to work with a standard CA box, RB "stumpy" boxs(with a quick front case change) will fit in the standard shifter hole.
the only other mod you need to do is remove the drivers side engine brcket(the one to the gearbox), and maybe tap the sump up abit or grind a bit of the steering rack mount(it's alittle close for comfort)
