I went in a R35 GTR a few weeks back,
It was making 300rwkw at the wheels then and it was the most incrediable car I have been in.
The ride on 'R' mode was as stiff as a set of coilovers, It still broke traction and stepped out
in 2nd gear on a slight crest, Diffs clunk around like an aftermarket centre would. it feels like it has a stall converter
as it drops hard into gear when taking off even slowly, but the brakes...out of this world.... eyeballs hurt
push button start, g force meter, lap/split timer.... Time for Toyota to step up

mjr motorsport, gold coast.
pushes ur eyes back into the socket as 3rd gear picks up, race mode is rad. sounds fat as on down shifts too
and i highly doubt a supra would beat it around a track

he means the new lexus thing... /the competition for the R35, and yup from the other R35 nurburgring thread, the toyota/lexus offering does beat the skyline around the ring. Is toyota even gonna mass produce it though?

Yeah its a great car until the shit ass gearbox packs it in.. but i bet nissan don't tell you that when u buy one.. only takes 10,000 k's and she goooonnnnneee!!
and thats no word of a lie either.. and the better thing is that if u own one out here nissan don't give 2 stuffs, because nissan australia haven't brought them out here as a factory car yet there is no warranty, so that means send your car or box back to Japan for warranty. thankyou very much thats what u get for throwing down 140k!
The issue with them is that the company payed to build them to spec.. well didnt quite build them to the specs required... a bit of an inside scoop for ya..
and really id take a hachi ova that piece of rubbish any day! :2thumbs:

sorry mate I'm gonna have to disagree with you there... if someone came to me and said, i will give you either a 25yo corolla or a brand new 140k super car, id have to go with the later.
i love em, but not that much

Gearbox is $45000 new when they die and a crate motor is $65000!!!
At 100,000 service motor has to be pulled down and bores need to be re-plasma lined? not too sure what that entails
Tyres are $1000 a piece and when they are removed they destroy the pressure senders which will set
another $500 a piece.
If you can fork out $140,000 it's just pocket change I guess...

ahh each to their own i guess.. i just don't like new cars at all.. they don't have character they have so many hi tech things in them its mor like the car is doing part of the driving. i would hands down rather drive a 20k hachi then the R35 or any new car.. i love my hachi!

Nissan actually provide the 1st 3 or 4 rebuilds as apart of the R35 package. I'm not sure if its plasma coated, i have a feeling its another material but your right
.. all these new cars are taking the fun out of driving!.. tyre pressure senders.. just stop at the servo check em pump em up .. off u go..
i guess I'm a bit old skool

I'd love to have a massive discussion about this.. learnt some interesting things from my professors at uni...
But if I had the coin, I would definately get a 35, they are out of this planet.
I would probably wait til a later model, where they said the brakes will be better and alot of the early issues will have been ironed out.
