A friend of mine has a ke70 panel van, the rear leaf springs seem to be buggered ( verryyyyy sloppy in the back now, even after replacing shocks.) He has had quotes for replacement/ reconditioning that have are averaging about 5-600 for the pair.

Does anyone know a cheap replacement or way of fixing this problem??

cheers

I don't know much about leaf springs, but $500 does sound excessive. Maybe try your local pick-a-part for replacements, and fit them yourselves.

for 5-600 bucks u mayaswell go to a diff shop and get them to fabricate coil spring seats and shit.

definately look around for replacements. thats too much money for new/recond leaves

thats what ive suggested, but all in all, most leaf springs from the wreckers is still gunna be 28 years old and good chance will be equally as rooted. Does anyone know of leaf springs from other models that have a higher rating etc that would fit??

cheers for the input.

Go to a spring manufacturing joint and make some enquiries, $600 is just dumb for something like that.
