hi all :)

did some searchin... didn't find what i was lookin for, so thought i'd post.

my spontang has vented disks on the front, already installed when i bought the car. i am *relatively* sure they are oem jdm vented disks.

are the std adm front brake pads the same as the pads used in these?

i know i could easily take 'em off and find out, but this may save the car being off the road for a day or so while i find out.

cheers
evan

Yeah pretty sure they are the same mate. only dif between the calipers is the extra width to allow for the thicker disk.

Also is that your mr2 thats been over at your place latley?

Yes the pads are the same, 100%

Sparkle 86 is also correct in saying that the only difference in them is the width.

On a side note i believe that you can machine down the thickness of the friction material on a new set of pads to allow you to run a vented disk in an ADM caliper, cheap upgrade.
