JDM Fan

Found out today that the 4ac fan does not fit onto a JDM RWD water pump.
Has anyone got a JDM fan they want to sell in Brisbane?

I had a Toyota genuine JDM RWD pump (until it failed) and it was running a 4AC fan, and is running the same fan now that I've gone to the RWD 4AC pump.

Well although that said I just checked the EPC and there are different part no.s for the 4AGE fan and the the 4AC one so who knows.

Mine did fit aswell....

What exactly did not go on? Just would not sit all the way back?

The fan would not push all the way on, so I pulled out the calipers. The shaft at the end of the water pump is 16mm, and the hole inside the fan (that the shaft slides into) is 15mm. The fan needs to sit about 2-3mm back to sit flush with the water pump pulley.
Can anyone confirm that a JD fan has a slightly thicker shaft than the ADM 4ac?

I suppose I could try to drill out the inside of the fan to 16mm diameter, 2mm deep. Or I'll take up buddy clubs offer.

Any thoughts or suggestions through them my way :)

I figure it must be my fan. I tried it on another JDM RWD pump and had the same issue!

Though it fits perfect on a FWD water pump, as they don't have the long shaft at the end of the pump.
Perhaps my fan was not originally off a sprinter?
