I have a pair of ssr's and the wheel nuts (longish supercheap ones) like to come loose and is starting to worry me as i would rather my wheels stay on my car.
Should i be using something else? The wheel nut seem to be holding the wheel from the outside rather then the inside from memory..
Thanks,
marvis.

what SSR wheels do you have? Old Mk I and Mk II PCD holes did not have a taper and used nuts with integrated washers similar to OEM Sprinter nuts like these:

If you have the PCD holes with a taper, make sure your nuts have the right taper angle ;)

bursons or repco will have them and if they tell you they don't they are talking shit! The come in speco brand packs of four for about $8 bucks a pack!!
Also any tyre shop which sells mags should have them or will know where to get them. You can't have looked very hard :P

Went to repco, bobjane, two wreckers and another tyre shop. Might try again tomorrow elsewhere.
Does anyone have a picture of what i need?
Thanks,
marvis.

ssr have a slightly smaller shank hole than the standard shank hole, you can get standard shank wheel nuts that are used on some mags such as centerlines or some cheviots or what ever, and slightly drill out your wheel holes, carefully!. or you could look on yahoo autions and get some genuine ssr wheel nuts, if there is a taper use a standard wheel nut from like a new yaris or something, a m12 1.5 thread. Pretty easy to come by, can be ordered from companies such as speedy wheels relatively easy, a phone call and credit card away, like 1.80 each so 30ish bucks. Remember if your wheel nuts come loose don't just keep doing them up tighter, its not really the tightness that matters its that they are all the same, should never need any more than 115nm on a corolla.

I may do that, as it's only missing by a bit.. But that seems a bit sketchy? Had any problems with it?

cause wheel vibrations.
what can also occur sometimes that i failed to mention, is that sometimes the shank of the wheel nut can be too long, longer than your rim is thick, and but out on your drum or rotor meaning that it will only go so tight no matter how tight you make it.
take it to a wheel shop, they will charge like 20 bucks.
