Hi

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference in differnt coloured TRD shocks mean eg: yellow, blue and green?
Does the colour denote any thing specific?
(tried to put in TRD in search function but nothing came up, sorry if this has been asked before)

Cheers

Different stroke lengths and compression/rebound rates. Fronts: some are adjustable others are fixed damper rates, Rears are all mostly 8-way adjustable.
I would have to look up the specific comp/rebound rates in the TRD Sports Parts book (pre TRD Bible :P) but off the top of my head:

"Blue" were Circuit Race/Tarmac Rally. Shortest stroke (-60mm), and best range of damping (front 4-way rear 8-way) - Tokico
"Green" were Race/Rally only slightly shorter than std (-20mm), not as wide damping range (front fixed, rear 8-way) - KYB
"Yellow" are actually MR2 short stroke (-60mm) but non-adjustable damper setting 3/5 of Blue on Front. Rear (8-way) - KYB
"Red" Gravel Rally Longer-Standard Stroke. Softest damper rates for AE86. (discontinued? haven't seen them for some time)

TRD Blue (F: 48511-65293;AE881 4-way, R: 48531-AE831 8-way adjustable.
TRD Yellow (F: 48511-AE941) non-adjustable AE92 short stroke fronts inserts.

Tokico HTS 102 were almost like the ultimate evolution of the TRD dampers with much finer adjustment (48) but damn hard to get now days.
