I am so tempted to get them, but i can't even try em on without actually paying for them. So i need to know if they will fit? And more importantly will they look shit hot?

Going by pics i've seen, with the centre charcoal they look mad. I would go 14's but can't get decent sized offsets and 15 by 8 wont fit the gaurds without flaring, plus i reckon wide ass 13's look oldskool to the max, which is what i'm after.

Has anyone got any pics of these on a ae86? If i get them i'll be fitting toyo semi slicks :greenbounce: as i will be hitting the track once get my lsd in.

Huh? Thats not my car and it doesnt have superlights, it was just a mobile ajps display stand.

13x8J +4 will need a bit of guard work front and rear if the car is low enough to cover some tyre.

You'll prob get away with rolling and slight pulling on the front and bashing on the rear with a 195/60 or so tyre.

I have 14 by 7 hotwires atmo with similar offset and i could easy go out another half an inch with 205/ 60' on a 8.

My car isnt super low, can get finger or two between the tyre and guard. The guy i spoke to about them said it would be another 12mm in and about half an inch out from my hotwires.

we put the 13x8 +4 on my car and they sat flush (ke guards)

ae86 guards should just fit with a 185 tyre

pm me if you want them

cheers

had them on an 86. no guard work really needed, maybe a bit of an inner lip roll on the front. got rear fitment pics if youre real keen.. but id prefer if you just took my word for it.

ive got 15x8 superlights on my ae86 with stretched toyo proxys and the front scrubs every now and again and the rear is the same. with people in the back however tis a differnt story..

my car is also just on legal ride height. also ive bashed flat the lip on my guards.. all i can say is scrubbing is a pain.. make sure they fit b4 ya buy them... somehow???

I went and had a look at them tonight, i had a look at the 7 and 8's. The 7's seemed to have exactly the same amound of dish as the 8's, the extra width on the 8's is inwards, not actually adding any more dish.

I'm leaning more towards the 7's, i wont have to worry about any clearence issues at all with the inner guards on full lock etc.

The 7's have a 93mm backspace,the 8's have 117mm, you actually have 3mm less dish with the 8's.

I'm undecided atmo.

You would have more grip with the 8's since i'll be running a 205/65 tyre, the only issue is clearance, i will measure everything up properly this weekend. Another thing is i already have 13 by 7 hotwires so no pioint getting another set of 13 by 7's.

13x8's with 185/60's

like D (slydar) said they fit fine (with that tyre) if you did really want to run a 205 you might actually be better off with the 7" the overall look might not be to everyones taste. i'd stick with a 205/60 not 65, pretty sure thats becoming an odd size these days anyway (205/60)

heres slydars old old old car with the 8's and 185s EDIT: (actually they might be 185/55's pirelli's or something, iremeber them being possibly lower than a 60 series

funnily enough the car pictured now all these years later is is CA powered, yellow, kitted on 16x8's and for sale in the QLD cars for sale section.

thnx gilly for the pic, you wouldn't have any side-on pics? Looks better than i thought actually, cause after i took some pics of my car with my hotwires i was thinking the 13's would look shocking lol. But with the 185's they look pretty sweet.
