I hav an 83' corolla wagon.
I need a tacho but don't know how to wire up and electronic one (haven't purchased one yet). a mate said i can get a tacho dash from an Ae71????
Any help / ideas / reccomendations, even examples of your own tacho set up would be AWSUM!

cheers all

yeah get a stock tacho dash cluster, they just plug straight in, no wireing needed

I believe it is easy enough just to swap out the odometer/speedo mechanism between clusters, thus keeping your mileage correct.

While we are on the topic of tacho's.
In ADM ae86's do the JDM tacho's plug straight in with no re-wiring of the plug needed?
Does the digital one also plug right in?

digital one you need to do rewiring to get it working, and have to have the digital fuel sender on the cluster or it will be hard to find it by itself

just use a tacho dash from a ke70 or 71, plug straight in and will never have troubles with defects

Ok awesome, rn the digital cluster wont work with out re-wiring.
And what about the normal JDM cluster? Will that plug right in with out needing to modify any thing?
