Ok my JDM 16v blew up yesterday and I am looking for 16v, but if there is a cheap silvertop that comes up I might take it. What I need is a list of the stuff I will need to convert it into my car. I am running a full JDM setup in the car (loom, comp., engine, box, rear end) what do I need for a 20v that is still in FWD.
Can I use any parts from the 16v setup?
Just need a simple list (no bullshit) of what needs to be done to do it
Thanks

mate theres plenty of threads where people have put lists up and better still pics of the process of conversion, so give it a search
but it also depends on what u wana do, e.g bash the firewall means u don't need to relocate dizzy, or relocate dizzy u'l need the blank off.
however quickly:
-water kit
-clutch
-extractors
-if open throttle possibly new comp (not to sure if one can run open throttles with stock comp-others clear this up.....)
thats all i can think of for now-some of this info maybe irrelevant as theres different ways u can do the conversion.
so yeah I'm sure others will giv some more info

Sam Q wrote an entire article on the waterpump situation. Have a look at his build thread also.

thanks sherlock,
expanding on what matt correctly commented and depending on what combination of parts you use you can use the following from your engine:
water pump back and front half + pulley
bypass pipe that faces down off your top outlet on your head.
heater pipe that bolts to the back of the pump
alternator bracket
extractors/exhuast manifold
flywheel
clutch
you will need:
water bypass plate
custom top pipe
custom heater pipes
some heater hoses
intake system
spigot bearing
some plugged hoses
Dli module with original loom and ecu or
an aftermarket ecu running echo coils directly or running other coils through ignitors
hows that strike you Hayden
