hey guys,
I know there was a thread along the lines of this one in the past but i can't seem to find it.
Just pulled my dash apart but don't have a clue which option to take to change the dash light colour.
LED kit bought off ebay (6 LED) anyone tried it?
rubber globe sleeve's?
etc.
I also heard that getting large LED's and sanding them with light sand paper makes the light disperse better?
Thanks,
Alex

Little rubber dingers are the easiest way to do it. Get white globes instead of green ones, the KE dashes have coloured globes factory.
I'm sure you could go to jaycar or something and get something to fit.

Stock ke globes arent green. They have a plastic dome that covers them which gives off the green illumination. Those condoms don't work for shit as they give off a realy mottly colour to them.

I have a mate who bought some of those LED dash lights (blue) off eBay for his Pulsar and they're bright as fuck.

i found it easiest using the red sleeves (with new bulbs) in my AE92. They are a few dollars from autobahn and its simply a matter of taking of the old and putting the new one on. Pretty much it no glows an orange tinge, much better than the original colour.

would be good if you could get some pics up H1_Roll4. What do the globes look like? multiple LED's or one big single?
Are they realy intense in spots? Did they require sanding?

i have the wedge type blue ones in my dash, brighter than round globes and disperses light better, apparently.

those ones are flat backed, are they not?
Do ke70's take the same dash globes as Ae86's?
