check the rotor button for cracks or corrosion, could be throwin the spark inside the cap, and I guess you have checked the leads?

Could be a coil that is dying. It could be producing enough voltage to make a weak spark, but not enough to jump the gap across a plug. Try another coil if you can.

The dizzy cap is a common one, but generally at least one of the leads will work with a cracked cap. Try cranking it over in the dark to see if any sparks are visible in the cap.

ok guys ive fixed the problem the belt was out a few teeth its all good but i now have a new problem... :(

every so often when i flick the key to start every thing cuts out. no fuses get damaged but the only way to get everything to work again is disconnect the battery and reconnect it. it takes several attempts at this to get my car running. all my grounds are good the only thing i can think of was that i changed the ignition barrel and rotary thingy inside it

anyone no wats wrong
