LIL BLU MAN

hey guys finally got my diff centre out well the old man did,
so we had a look inside it was pretty clean actually i expected metal bits everywhere n ruff crap was quite clean, anyway,
i was hand cranking it since my dad told me to feel it sometimes it feels easy and then it gets to a point where its hard to turn,
then it goes easy again then harsh again over and over in the same pattern, I'm guessing my noisy diff was caused from this
anyone know what it could be ?

bearings or a damaged tooth on the pinion...

You could have a bit of runout on your hemisphere(the part that your crownwheel bolts to) that means that as you turn the crownwheel it actually moves closer to the pinion and then further away which causes it to become tight then loose, easiest way to fix is to get another hemisphere and swap your crownwheel onto it and maybe a new set of bearings. I hope this helps.

cheers Mick.
