i hav a pair of r31 coil overs sitin around
just wondering how do u put the r31 diff in is it just a case of choping all the 31 mounts off and reweldin the ke 1s on? and does it need shortning?
and the main question do i use the r31 coil overs or will i hav 2 get the ae/ke coil overs 2 fit?
and wot sort of power can u throw at these as well i know it only a 4k now but id like 2 keep it 4 when i upgrade
cheers

you will never break a r31 diff in a ke70.. never
yes you have to change the mounts over from the ke70 ones. the diff gives you 30mm track increase each size so fitting descent wheels under the stock guards is not gona happen.
but dont bother with the 4k, waste of time.
with the 31 coilovers you need to modifiy the top mounting point. cutting the current one out and welding in a new plate big enough with the correct holes is what need to be done. you will need to check the length of them, that will determine where they are mounted.

ud have to get smaller diameter custom springs made for the coilovers, otherwise youll need to hack up the strut towers to make them wider

my 31 diff is currently getting made up for my ke, theyr cutting the tubes off the ke diff and welding them onto the 31 diff centre so dont have to worry bout getting all the mounts sqaure ect which would be alot of work, apparently this is how the toyoland one was done and it turned out really well.

they said they can safely take 10mm off each side safely without having to re-spline and heat treat it..

mine will just be rolla suspension still tho..
